ARTICUS - (QRIC RAW Grant Recipient)

GELDING

He is no stranger to travel and the limelight!

As a tried racehorse, he was purchased by @australianbloodstock from Europe and once lined up as a favourite in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup! He spent a bulk of his career racing in the southern states.

He has recently resided on the Gold Coast - a nice wind down to his illustrious career, enjoying regular beach outings as company to his stable-mates.

GALTERO

Galtero ran his final race in December 2020 and was retired due to injury of his suspensory ligament. He earned shy of 200k, winning 5 races and perhaps could of been more.

KING SOLOMON

GELDING

KING SOLOMON this week was transferred to Valley RDA based on beautiful grounds of Tullebudgera Pony Club.

He will join a group of horses who are used to provide fun and therapy to people with a wide range of disabilities.

He will now be on trial where he will receive further training in specific to RDA and requirements for their program. He will also have ridden work by a regular accredited rider to further his retraining.

We are so humbled to be able to help Valley RDA on their next therapy horse. They cater for people with all kinds of disability including intellectual disabilities, specific learning disorders, injuries resulting from accidents, cerebral palsy, spinal bifida, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, visual and hearing impairments, autism and amputees.

“Solly” has a beautiful nature, he is kind and patient around people of all ages and abilities and we feel confident he will transition well into this very important job!

BOMBARDING

GELDING

He was sold through the @karakachat sales in 2016 and kicked his racing career off in Sydney with @pfiefferracing and earlier this year moved to @scturfclub under @kendrick_racing.

In our pre assessment interviews with his trainers, farrier, grooms and handlers; one recurring word that kept coming up in conversation was “gentleman”. He seems to have made a very positive impression on all those he has come In contact with!

HIBIYA

GELDING

HIBIYA is a 4yo gelding from Mount Isa who is also the youngest through the program to date.

HIBIYA was adopted by 14 yr old Maeve and now calls the picturesque area of Cedar Creek home, joining the Riley family and their 4 beloved horses.

Maeve is so excited for the next stage of HIBIYA’s retraining and has her sights set on interschool competitions and going through the grades of eventing. However, to begin with though they are happy to take it step by step with professional coaching and of course mum’s guidance.

Maeve is smitten with her new equine partner sharing with us “I felt an instant connection, and could tell he just wanted to please with a really great attitude and willingness to learn new things. I am super excited for the future Hibiya and I have together”

PURTON

GELDING

Purton, you could say never was able to have his full potential realised. Bought with a lucrative price tag of 600k there were high hopes for his career success. He did have 3 wins before problems arose with his breathing. Unfortunately operations and procedures were unsuccessful to have him continue his career as a racehorse.

PURTON is a handsome and sound legged thoroughbred with a beautiful and soft natured heart and a kind eye. With professional vets advice he could live a life happily with gentle exercise.

We have found in a short space of time that PURTON’s limitations are becoming over shadowed by some special qualities and skills that could make him suitable for various Western Performance disciplines.

PURTON is a gentleman to handle on the ground, groom, rug and lead. He has basic education with horsemanship as well as being broken to saddle. He is sensible and a quick learner and enjoys learning equitation and problem solving activities.

FRIENDLY DRAGON

GELDING

Friendly Dragon is as every bit of a warhorse you would read about. This gelding had 83 starts and retired at 10.

What a mighty server to the industry! He raced mostly in metropolitan Brisbane for trainer Les Ross and he was sold in the latter part of his career to Rockhampton to win another 4 races with Jamie McConachy and Jess Ladbrook.

This thoroughbred has heart and together with our re-trainers we can’t wait to see what he is going to show us!

IM A RIPPA

GELDING

Retiring at the end of 2019, ‘I’m a Rippa’ has accumulated over 1.2 million in earnings from 38 starts.

Highlights of his career include winning the prestigious @magicmillions QTIS sprint race in 2017 with @stephen_baster on board, X2 Group 3 wins, that being the BRC Sprint and George Moore @brisbaneracingclub Doomben. Also winning the Listed Eyeliner Sprint @ipswichturfclub

Speaking with many people associated with the gelding, we have gained insight to his character, temperament and quirks, what he likes and what he doesn’t.

WIRNPA

GELDING

8yo gelding WIRNPA by the @darleystallions super sire Exceed and Excel out of Living Spirit.

WIRNPA kicked off his racing career in the @godolphin stable in NSW but in his 4yo year was bought by new owners who raced him in Queensland ☀️. He achieved 6 career wins and 9 placings from 37 starts

WIRNPA retired with no significant injuries. However like most professional athletes who have had a rigorous training regime over a period of time - there were a few niggles starting to show after his last races. It was then the ownership group called it a day and gave him a lengthy retirement spell before thinking of the next step.
